The Kawasaki tachometer and Jaguar XJ6 SIII speedometer arrived from the breaker yards this morning. the XJ6 dial had all sorts of different coloured wires adorning from it but after a quick trim it became evedent what wires go where despite the lack of printed labelling that the Kawasaki did have on the inside of it. Calabration was easy and you can easily export the calabration setting so you can repick them when using different cars. Some exported 11,000RPM and 140MPH xml setting are here that I set up for use with a Formula One 1974 rFactor mod. The graphics of the tachometer are obviously incorrect for these settings and to be honest the 1974 F1 mod vehicles went much faster than 140MPH. Sooo, it’s about time to make custom gauge graphics. I’ll probably use the VW needles so I have an identical pair on the final design.
